The Georgia Native Plant Society (GNPS) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the conservation and restoration of Georgia’s native plants and their habitats.
The Native Habitat Restoration Project at Heritage Park in Mableton is supported by GNPS’s North Metro Atlanta chapter. A group of GNPS volunteers meets at the park the second Saturday of each month to remove invasive non-native plants and help reestablish native ones. This group is always seeking more volunteers to help further GNPS’s conservation and restoration mission.
