During this course you will learn about two techniques to help you create interesting artwork - collages & the grid method. The first two weeks of the class we will be using magazine paper, glue & scissors to create two collages. You are more than welcome to bring your own colored pencils, crayons or markers to use as a different medium. Reference images will be provided or you can bring your own artwork to recreate.

During the third week, you will learn how to use a grid to help you accurately draw & shade a reference image.

We will continue using the grid method during the fourth & final sessions, but you will recreate an image using patterns in each block of the grid instead of using just lines. Don’t forget about shading! We will use a pen to create a variation of shading for each block.
