The Camera Club at C. Freeman Poole Senior Center was founded by the wonderful Ms. Theo Hills around 2012. Under her guidance, members learned to take excellent photos, which we would edit on computers and print. During this time, we held in-house photo contests and competed with other Senior Centers. We also went on inspiring field trips to locations like Gibbs Garden, the Atlanta Botanical Garden, Helen, Georgia, and Ruby Falls.
Mr. Mike Jones continued our leadership and encouraged us to practice our skills with a deeper understanding of our cameras. We traveled to the Savoy Automobile Museum in Cartersville, Georgia, for a very rewarding learning event.
Today, the club is led by Ms. Barbara Reddick. We continue to travel to beautiful places like Gibbs Garden and the Botanical Garden. We hold a monthly "Show and Tell" where members share photos from their travels, helping everyone learn more about new places and photography techniques, including how to take great photos with our phones.
