Terri Carter also known as Farmer Terri Grows and Cooks is a Cobb County Master Gardener and she teaches cooking and gardening classes throughout the Cobb County and surrounding areas. She works for University of Georgia Cobb County Extension in The Family & Consumer Science Department. Terri has been teaching people how to grow food and how to cook it up for 9 years with The County. You can find her doing classes in schools, gardens, senior centers, and any organization that requests educational classes. Terri is also a Board Member of The American Community Gardening Association and she is also the Educational Chair and Newsletter Editor. Terri uses her skills to help folk understand how urban agriculture can be sustained in the Metro Atlanta area even on a small plot of land or in containers. She is also an avid seed saver and teaches a workshop called, The Food History of The South.
