Learn how to crochet a granny square which can be the basis for many items – blankets, hats, sweater, and purses.  You will need #4 yarn (worsted weight) and a G, G+ or H hook.  You will also learn how to read a pattern and the best way to add color to your square.  Bring 4 colors of yarn that you would like to use.  You will also learn how to assemble completed squares.  It would be helpful if you know the basics of crocheting, but not necessary.  Just indicate in your registration if you are a beginner. 

Also, bring scissors, safety pins or stitch markers, tapestry needle and a tape measure.
