This is a 1-day workshop for people interested in the creative ways of Raku! This unique Japanese firing of pottery is a technique developed in the 1500's.

Join us on Saturday to fire works in a very unique way! Participants should have ceramics experience from taking previous clay classes at the Mable House Arts Center. Workshop attendees must use Raku clay to complete no more than 8 pieces approximately 5-6 inches in width and 8" in height. Raku clay will be provided in advance to workshop registrants. Registrants can create pottery during Open Studio time on Thursdays from 9 am - 4 pm. All pottery must be bisque fired prior to the workshop.
